If your child is eligible for the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS), most routine dental treatment can be bulk billed, meaning there’s no out-of-pocket cost for covered services.
CDBS is a government program that provides access to up to $1,158 in benefits over two calendar years for basic dental services such as examinations, cleaning, fissure sealing, root canal treatment, dental filling and extractions. Your child may be eligible if they’re aged 0–17 for at least one day of the calendar year of your visit, and you receive Family Tax Benefit Part A or relevant Australian government payments.
