Smyl Dental welcomes patients with all major private health funds. We offer HICAPS on-the-spot claiming, allowing eligible patients to process their health fund claim during their appointment and only pay any remaining gap, where applicable.

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a government program that helps cover basic dental services for eligible children and teenagers aged 0–17 for treatments up to $1,158 over two consecutive calendar years. Eligibility generally requires the child to be eligible for Medicare, with their parent, carer or the child receiving an eligible government payment.

At Smyl Dental, we gladly accept Queensland Health Dental Vouchers. These state-funded vouchers are available to eligible patients on the public dental waiting list and are designed to help patients access treatment sooner through participating private dental practices.
Queensland Health Dental Vouchers have limits on the maximum amount and the types of treatment covered. General Care Vouchers cover eligible dental care up to $750, including examinations and cleans, preventive care, restorative treatments such as dental fillings, tooth extractions, and dentures in approved cases. Emergency Care Vouchers cover up to $260 for eligible urgent dental care.
